Aloha, and welcome to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. I’m your host, Tiki Brian, and this is show number 32. Join me as we travel back in time to a paradise isle with swaying palm trees, cool, gentle ocean breezes and golden sandy beaches.

That place is called Exotic Tiki Island, and you’re invited to come along for another adventure while enjoying vintage Hawaiian, Exotica and Tiki music from my vinyl and digital collection. In this episode, we’ll be visiting the main beach, the bamboo bar, and then we’ll take an adventure hike up to Grandpa Otto’s Grotto and listen to more of those classic Hawaiian melodies on his Victrola. Plus, there’ll be a few surprises along the way.

Are you ready to get started? Great! Let’s begin our adventure!

This episode of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast is sponsored by Hoteep Nephthys Paradise Found, offering their newest product line of custom Tiki art coffee mugs with inspirational words in both Hawaiian and English printed on the mug. And also by our newest sponsor, retroruthieshop.com. They offer vintage inspired custom made Tiki apparel for men and women.

You’ll hear more about our sponsors later on in the show. Before we begin the show, I’d like to send out some big mahalos to some listeners who sent in donations to help me pay the expenses of keeping the show going. Big mahalos go out to Kona Norm, Charlene Hall, Tom Duncan, Kelly and Paul from Nashville, Tennessee, Mike Tompkins and Alan Adler.

Mahalo’s to all of you and your donations, they really mean a lot. And if any of you other listeners out there would like to make a donation to the podcast, you can head over to the official Exotic Tiki Island website and click on the donation button. The website is www.exotictikiisland.com.

Any amount is greatly appreciated. And now friends, let’s get on with the show. Captain Scotty B is already on the island relaxing on the beach with a Mai Tai waiting for our arrival.

So he won’t be taking us to the island. Instead, we’ll be escorted to Exotic Tiki Island by a very talented South West Airlines flight crew. David, our head flight attendant, will now introduce himself and his crew while announcing your safety instructions before we take off.

And here’s David.

Welcome aboard South West Airlines. Those of you that have flown us before know that we do things a little bit differently here on South West. Some of us tell jokes, some of us sing, some of us just stand there and look beautiful.

I, unfortunately, can do none of those. So here’s the one thing that I do know how to do. We’re going to shake things up a little bit.

I need a little audience participation. Otherwise, this is not going to go over well at all. So here’s what I need, especially you guys in the front because you know what’s coming.

All right. I need a beat. All right.

All I need you to do is stomp and clap and I’m going to do the rest. You guys with me? All right.

So give me a stomp, clap, stomp, clap. Come on, stomp, clap, stomp, the claps, they don’t beat there. There you go.

Keep that going.

Aloha, Wahineys and Coneys, and welcome to the exotic Tiki Island. We’re glad you could make it. Please watch your step as we disembark, and help yourself to one of my Tiki cocktails as you head down to the main beach and enjoy some Hawaiian melodies.

Aloha, Captain. Mahalo for the Mai Tai. No problem, Tiki Brian.

OK, does everyone have their cocktail in hand? Great. Let the adventure begin.

Mahalo! Welcome back everyone to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. What do you say we go deeper into the island and head up to the Bamboo Bar?

We’ll be there shortly if we take the jungle path that leads right up to the entrance. Off we go to the Bamboo Bar!

We have arrived to the Bamboo Bar. This dimly lit watering hole is a favorite hangout for Exotica music lovers everywhere. Let’s head inside and enjoy the sights and sounds of the Bamboo Bar on Exotic Tiki Island.

Excellent.

Fantastic music, along with a fantastic atmosphere. The bamboo bar never disappoints. Well friends, it’s now time to make our way over to Grandpa Otto’s Grotto.

Let me tell you a little bit about Grandpa Otto. He’s lived on exotic Tiki Island for many, many, many years, and is loved by all. Grandpa Otto always welcomes visitors to stop by his grotto and listen to his vintage Hawaiian music collection on his Victrola.

Let’s continue our adventure, and go to Grandpa Otto’s Grotto.

Aloha, Grandpa Otto. Aloha, Tiki Brian. I’ve been expecting you.

It’s nice to see you and all of your Tiki friends. My, you have a lot of new friends with you. I’m not sure if there’s enough room inside my grotto for everyone.

I have an idea, Grandpa. You do have a Victrola outside on your back porch, right? Sure do, Tiki Brian.

Well, why don’t all of us walk around in back of your grotto and relax on your private beach while you play some of your vintage Hawaiian music from your porch? That sounds like a wonderful idea. I’ll meet all of you around back.

All right, everyone, let’s head around back and listen to the music. The Exotic Tiki Island podcast will be right back after this important message. Aloha, listeners.

I’ll see all of you again soon. Well, friends, it’s time to go back to the main beach and prepare for our journey home.

Hey, wait a minute. Look, out in the river. It’s Captain Scotty B.

And he’s driving towards us in a jungle cruise boat. Tiki Brad, hold up. Don’t head down to the main beach just yet.

Find out why Captain Scotty B. Is driving a jungle cruise boat. When we return for another adventure on exotic Tiki Island.
