Aloha, this special 40th episode of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast is sponsored by Coxper Rum and Hotep Nefti. Coxper Rum has been making the party happen since 1884, when Danish merchant Valdimir Hansel created Coxper Rum and Barbados. Throughout the years, Coxper Rum has stayed true to the traditional processes that make this rum unique.
These include using only the purest coral filtered water from the nearby aquifer, as well as carefully selected barrels. The rum is then aged under a warm Caribbean sunshine and fresh ocean breezes at our beachside distillery. The Coxper Rooster has proudly represented the Coxper brand at nightclubs and events everywhere, and continues to be the life of the party, just as it was over 125 years ago.
Coxper Rum is a proud sponsor of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast and ETI Radio. For more information on Coxper Rum, visit their website, www.coxperrum.com.

Show number 40. That’s a lot of shows.
Aloha, friends, and welcome to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. I’m your host, Tiki Brian. Join us as we celebrate our 40th episode of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast.
I hope all of you are ready to travel back in time to the island as I play vintage Hawaiian, Exotica, and Tiki music from my personal vinyl and digital collection. And as usual, there’ll be a few surprises along the way. And speaking of surprises, for this special 40th episode, I’ve decided to do the entire show from the Blue Whale Tiki Bar here on Exotic Tiki Island.
Welcome to the Aloha Friday Happy Hour, live broadcast from the Blue Whale Tiki Bar here on Exotic Tiki Island. And now, wahinis and connies, here’s your host, Tiki Brian.
Aloha listeners, this is Tiki Brian from the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast, and I wanna thank all of you for tuning in for this very special celebration. And we are celebrating what? What are we celebrating, Captain?
It’s our 40th podcast.
That’s right, our 40th podcast episode. So we are gonna have a fantastic time today. We’ve got lots of great music and wonderful adventure and surprises for you.
So we hope you can stick around and enjoy the show. For those of you who listen to the podcast show, you might not be aware of the Blue Whale Tiki Bar, because normally we do the Aloha Friday Live Happy Hour Show on ETI Radio, which happens the first Friday of each month over on my Mixler station. But what I’ve decided to do for this 40th special episode of the podcast, I’m gonna broadcast and podcast at the same time, right here from the Blue Whale Tiki Bar here on Exotic Tiki Island.
How about that, Captain?
That’s so cool.
Yeah, so we’ve got some friends over here. We’re all celebrating. It’s been 40 shows.
Can you believe it, Captain?
It’s been a long time, man. I can’t believe it.
Now, do you remember when the very first show aired? Do you know that date or year, actually?
Yeah, I think it was 2011.
It was, it was 2011. Do you remember the month?
I think it was around September.
That’s right. So we’re coming up on four years of podcasting. And really, that’s a long time, I think.
That is.
That’s a lot of shows. That’s what I like to say in a lot of my podcasts.
It’s a lot of music.
It is a lot of music. You know, each podcast probably has about anywhere from 18 to 25 songs per show. So you multiply that times 40 shows.
That’s a lot of music, right? And now here we are, 40 shows later. I had no idea that I was gonna be going for this long.
It was just kind of a fun thing for me. And it still is. I really enjoy it.
And it’s just hard to believe that it’s 40 shows.
And it’s getting bigger and bigger and bigger.
Well, it is a little bit, I guess. But I’ve really met some wonderful friends. I met some wonderful people.
Listeners have sent in some very nice donations to help me with the cost of keeping this going. It has gotten quite expensive. So I really do appreciate all of the support from the listeners from the very first show that have contributed, whether it be through a donation or sent me some rare Hawaiian music or some information or products to sell.
Or some alcohol.
Or alcohol, that’s right. So it’s been wonderful. So here we are.
Episode 40, we are here at the Blue Whale Tiki Bar here on Exotic Tiki Island. And normally we don’t do this for the podcast show, but I figured for this special celebration, why not? So Captain, what we’re gonna do, we are going to take a break and we’re going to play the very first song from the very first podcast episode, number one.
And Captain, what is that song?
That’s Blue Hawaii by the Waikiki’s.
Yeah, that’s right. So wahinis and connies, here you go. The very first song from the very first episode of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast.
And we’ll be right back, aloha.
And we are back, I’m Tiki Brian.
And Captain Scotty B.
We’re celebrating our 40th podcast episode right here from the Blue Whale Tiki Bar here on Exotic Tiki Island. Listeners, we have a wonderful show coming up, but before we start the show, I just want to say mahalos to a couple of people that have sent in donations to help keep the podcast going and also ETI Radio going. So, big mahalos goes out to the Ferry family up there in Cape Cod.
Mahalo goes out to Tracy and Mary Beth and all of their wonderful little Tiki-ers. They call them their Tiki-ers. So, mahalo to you, Treona, also Sinead, Kanaal, and Patty.
So, mahalo to all of you, the Ferry family, for sending in a very nice donation. That’s right. We really do appreciate it.
It really helps us pay the cost of keeping this show going. And also, big mahalos go out to some other donators, Lori Cooper, Conan Rorm, Charles McGuire, Kirk Daniel, Bradley Crago, Kelly and Paul from Nashville, Charlene Hall, Jim Jensen, and Brad and Michelle. So, mahalo to all of you.
Oh, and Alan Adler, he always sends in a very nice donation. I wanted to send him a very special shout out. And also Mike Tompkins, thank you.
Mahalo to all of you who donate to the show. It really means a lot.
To everybody. To everybody.
Absolutely. So, wahine’s and kane’s, what we’re gonna do now, the captain and I, we are going to sit back and relax and enjoy these Hawaiian Sunset drinks. And I’ve put together a wonderful mix for you listeners to enjoy on this very special 40th podcast episode celebration.
So sit back, relax. The captain and myself, we’re gonna sit back and relax, and we’re gonna enjoy these Hawaiian Sunset cocktails.
Everybody gets you one.
That’s right, captain. And so, connies and wahinis, welcome to episode 40 of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast.
Enjoy.

Hey, how’s it, Mr. Pan Popo?
I am fine, I am fine.
Hey, how you like to do a Hawaiian song?
I was born Hawaiian. Let’s try it.
I think I got one you know. How about Hawaiian War Chant?
That’ll work. Let’s try it.
Okay. It was written in English and written in Hawaiian. Let’s do some English first.
Go ahead, you take the first one.
You’re gonna give me the first one?
Go for it. Okay. Here we go.
Okay. How about I try one?
And do it in a little bit of a minor key.
Can you take that? Can you take that?
Go for it, bro.
Here we go. A little bit of a minor sound.
All right.
There’s one more, but you take this one, okay? Last one in English. Okay, let me try this.
All right.
Well, that was fun, but now we need to get into Hawaiian.
And you know, I think we could go a little bit faster and maybe take it up a little bit, a little higher in key. Let’s see what you think.
Hey, not bad. I think we can do a little bit better. How about we take it a little bit faster maybe?
And can you go higher?
You want to go higher?
Make them faster and make them higher.
Okay, let’s do it.
Hey, not bad, not bad. Can we do better?
Can we do faster?
All the way, faster and higher both?
Faster and higher.
Let’s go.
Hey, that was fun!
Oh yeah, let’s do this again.
Aloha, Tani’s and Wahini’s. This is Tiki Brian along with Captain Scotty B right here at the Blue Whale Tiki Bar. We hope you enjoyed the 40th episode of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast.

So mahalo to all of you, from all of us, on Exotic Tiki Island. Captain, do you wanna say anything?
Yes, I would like to say mahalo to you, Tiki Brian, because you put a lot of time and effort into this, and the people seem to really like it. So donate, help out, because it is expensive, and I know that you put a lot of time and effort into this, and the people seem to like it, and we’ve got something good here.
Yeah, I think we do, and I appreciate that, Captain. It is a lot of work, it’s a lot of love, though, I tell you, I really do enjoy it. So mahalo for tuning in, everyone.

So again, thank you for tuning in. This is Tiki Brian.
And Captain Scotty B.
Yeah, we are going to say mahalo for now, but we’ll be back again with E.T.I. show number 41. That’s a lot of shows.
Well listeners, that just about wraps it up. So until next time, Aloha!
