Welcome to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast with your host Tiki Brian. Alright friends, it looks like everyone is here and ready to travel back in time to Exotic Tiki Island. Today we will be traveling to the island in a Pan Am Clipper, otherwise known as a Flying Boat.

Captain Scotty B, we are ready for our adventure.

Alright friends, welcome aboard. Please watch your step as you make your way through our first compartment heading into the main lounge. I reserved deluxe suites for all of you located on the upper deck, which you can access via the spiral staircase located in the center of the plane.

While everyone is getting settled in, I’m going to head back up to the cockpit and help the flight crew prepare for takeoff. Once we’re in the air, I’ll meet you and your Tiki friends in the main lounge. I have a wonderful new cocktail to share with you.

Sounds fantastic, Captain. Okay, friends, let’s prepare for our adventure to Exotic Tiki Island.

Wahinis and Connies, this is your captain speaking, Scotty B. We are now cruising at our optimal altitude, so I’m going to hand things off to my flight crew so I can join all of you in the main lounge. I brought along the Magic Radio, and I have it tuned to the Vintage Adventure Station that I’ll play over the intercom for your enjoyment.

So enjoy the music, and I’ll meet you in the lounge in a few minutes.

This is Skipper Albert Awol, The Voice of the Jungle, broadcasting on the DBC, to all points unknown. If you’re within the sound of my voice, you’re listening to Awol Airwaves on the DBC.

And now, here’s today’s River Tip from Skipper Bill of the Congo Kani. Bill says, if it rains in the jungle, who cares? That’s why they call it a rain forest.

The winning entree from this month’s cooking competition is bamboo stew with shredded vine stems. Skipper Doug, our floating gourmet, recently tried this unusual dish and told us, it tastes like chicken. He was quick to add, however, so does everything else we cook around here.

Thanks, Doug. This is WETI Radio, playing the music of the South Seas.

Aloha, this is WETI Radio, bringing you the news from the South Seas.

Temple of the Forbidden Eye continues to beckon visitors from around the globe.

They’ve all heard the tantalizing tales, but a darker tale has surfaced. Many visitors are claiming loved ones have disappeared inside. Could it be they looked into the eyes of the idols?

The reports reach Indiana Jones, who returns to the site of his great discovery. He is greeted by prongs of troubled tourists. They know he’s the only one who can help them.

One week later, and still no Indiana Jones, his faithful friend, Sala, stands vigil. Could Jones himself have locked eyes with the idol, or will he solve the riddle of the lost tourist?

Aloha, Captain, nice of you to join us.

My pleasure, Tiki Brian. I have a wonderful Tiki cocktail that I’d like to make for all of you to enjoy while we’re headed to the island. This cocktail is called the Dr. Funk cocktail.

Here’s what you need to make the Dr. Funk cocktail. 3 quarter ounce of fresh lime juice, half ounce of grenadine, two bar spoons of absinthe, one and a half ounce of light Puerto Rican rum, one ounce of club soda. With instructions, you shake everything except for the soda with ice cubes.

Then add soda to the shaker and stir. Pour unstrained into a Pilsner glass. If necessary, add ice to fill and enjoy.

Mahalo Captain and friends. Be sure to visit the official exotictikiisland.com website for the Dr. Funk cocktail recipe. Just click on the Tiki drinks and food in the top menu bar and it will be the first posting under Tiki Cocktails.

I must say Captain, this is a very tasty drink.

Mahalo Tiki Brian. We have a long trip ahead of us so let’s continue to listen to the Vintage Adventure Station on the Magic Radio.

Attention all skippers, due to an increase in piranha activity along the rivers, you are now required to update the Missing Persons Board at the end of each cruise.

Attention all travelers, if your name is added to the Missing Persons List at the end of your cruise, please accept in advance our most sincere apologies.

See Jungle skippers, don’t forget to keep extra oars handy on your ship. That way you won’t find yourself stranded up the river without a paddle. Aloha, you’re listening to WETI Radio, a tropical paradise for your ears.

Come drift into an era of kings and golden idols. Discover what you would have never missed if you had never seen it in the first place. It’s another amazing Amazonian river fantasy from the Jungle Navigation Company.

Wahinis and Coneys, this is your captain speaking. We are making our final approach to the Exotic Tiki Island. The weather on the island today is a perfect 79 degrees with a calm, cool trade wind blowing in from the Pacific Ocean.

Mahalo.

Welcome, Wahinis and Coneys, to the main beach on Exotic Tiki Island. Let’s relax here for a bit while listening to some Hawaiian music. My friends, leave all your stress and troubles behind for a while, and welcome to paradise.

Paradise.

That was wonderful. Hawaiian music on the main beach is simply the best way to forget all of your stress and worries of today’s hectic life. What do you say we continue our adventure and visit the Bamboo Bar?

The Bamboo Bar is an exotic, dimly lit paradise watering hole where some of the best Exotica music is played. Let’s go there now by traveling up the Jungle Trail. Let’s stay close together, friends.

It’s a jungle out there.

Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived to the entrance of the famous Bamboo Bar. Let’s head inside and enjoy some rare Exotica music as we enjoy a liquid libation. Welcome to the Bamboo Bar.

See You know, I could stay here all day and night and enjoy the atmosphere of the Bamboo Bar, but we should continue our adventure and head up to the Virgin Volcano, located on the upper west side of the island. Let’s take a quick break, and we’ll continue our adventure right after this short message.

Aloha, you’re listening to Tiki Brian and the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. Welcome back to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. Let’s take the jungle trail over to the Virgin Volcano.

Let’s go, friends.

We are now at the foot of the Virgin Volcano. For those of you who don’t know about the Virgin Volcano, this active volcano is feared by the local natives, so much so that every month, they perform an Exotica dance ritual in order to appease the volcano fire goddess Pele so she won’t erupt the volcano and cover their villages with hot molten lava. This is a very rare ritual and is strictly forbidden to any outsiders, so we must be very quiet and make sure not to be seen observing them.

Shh! It looks like they’re starting. Let’s listen and watch.

Wow, Tiki Brian! How exciting was that? The natives believe that Pele is a Pease, and their villages are secure for another month.

Yup, you’re right, Captain. Well, friends, it’s getting late, so we should head back to the main beach and prepare for our journey home. Let’s go!

We are now on the main beach and sadly it’s time to go home. Before we go, I’d like to invite all of you to visit the official exotictikiisland.com website for more information on what’s happening on Exotic Tiki Island. Now let’s see where is the pineapple.

Here it is.

Gosh, it’s on sale.

This IGA store sure has the values.

Say Marge, I just wish we could tell everyone about the pineapple sale at this IGA store. I know what I’ll do.

I’ll call the radio station.

Hi Marge, how’s the family?

Say, be sure and pick up some IGA pineapple.

It’s right over there. It’s on sale too.

John, here’s the pineapple that was advertised in the IGA ad.

Ask the boy to get us a case.

At this low price I can afford to get an extra pair of Shirley Gay Nylon.

Stop pestering me, Johnny.

We haven’t come to the pineapple juice yet.

Well, George, if you won’t let me go to Hawaii, put six cans of pineapple in the basket.

We’re gay with all this pineapple.

We ought to give a luau.
