Ingredients:
- 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
- 3/4 oz. grapefruit juice
- 3/4 oz. soda water
- 1 oz. honey mix
- 1 oz. light rum
- 1 oz. dark Jamaican rum
- 1 oz. demerara rum
Garnish:
- Ice Cone
Instructions:
Shake vigorously with ice cubes. Strain into a double old-fashioned glass with ice cone around straw.
How to make the ice cone:
We highly recommend purchasing the Beachbum Berry Navy Grog Ice Cone Kit from Cocktail Kingdom ( www.cocktailkingdom.com ), a device based on the metal molds once used at mid-century Tiki restaurant bars. Or you can just pack a pilsner glass with finely shaved ice, run a chopstick through the middle to make a hole for the straw, and then gently remove the cone from glass. Freeze cone overnight. When ready to serve, run straw through cone. Sip drink through straw.
How to make the honey mix:
Put equal parts of honey and water in a small saucepan. Boil, then turn down to a simmer and stir until the honey is completely dissolved. Cool.
Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
