Ingredients:

  • 1 – 1/2 ounce Gold (Dark) Puerto Rican Rum (Bacardi 8 or Añejo, or Virgin Islands or Nicaraguan Rum)
  • 1 – 1/2 ounce Aged Jamaican Rum (Appleton V/X or Extra)
  • 1 ounce Lemon Hart 151° Demerara Rum
  • 3/4 ounce Lime Juice
  • 1/2 ounce Don’s Mix*
  • 1/2 ounce Falernum
  • 1 teaspoon Grenadine
  • 1/8 teaspoon Pernod (or Absinthe)
  • Dash of Angostura Bitters
  • 6 ounces (3/4 cup) of Crushed Ice

Garnish:

  • Mint sprig

Instructions:

Load everything in a blender — ice last– and blend at full speed for 5 seconds. Pour, unstrained, into a chimney or Zombie glass, filling it with ice cubes if needed. Garnish with a sprig of mint.

* Don’s Mix: 2 parts grapefruit juice (white, if possible) and 1 part cinnamon syrup. Do NOT use canned or bottled grapefruit juice…the stuff’s awful.
