Aloha and welcome to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. This is show number three, and I’m your host, Tiki Brian. I hope you’re ready for another fantastic adventure back into yesteryear, and to take another visit back to Exotic Tiki Island while I play more vintage Hawaiian, exotica, and island-related music from my own personal LP collection.
In this show, we’ll be visiting the Main Beach, The Hurricane Hut Lounge, and the almighty Virgin Volcano, where we were here the local natives perform their exotic musical ceremony to pay tribute to the great Virgin Volcano fire goddess. So let’s get started on our musical journey and travel back in time and visit Exotic Tiki Island.
Oh no, we just missed our plane, and the last boat took off two days ago. How are we going to travel back in time to Exotic Tiki Island?
Good job, people, we made it to the island. That was one cool ride. Why don’t we rest here on the main beach for a bit while we listen to some musical island melodies.
How more of those delightful Hawaiian hula girls be witching us with bright eyes and smiles. With their hula skirts a-swishing, there’s some songs that make you wish that you were on the beach in Waikiki. Here’s how we learn to do the hula in the islands of Hawaii.
The Exotic Tiki Island podcast will return right after this important message.
The following advertisement is brought to you by Territorial Airwaves. Your source for the history of Hawaiian music.
This is an invitation to visit Hawaii during our Aloha Week Festival beginning October 30th. Then you’ll see all the colorful pageantry of Hawaii, its true ancient hula dances, fishing festivals, feasts, ceremonial, the floral parade unsurpassed, and the peoples of many nations in their native costumes. You’ll hear the enchanting music of Hawaii’s Pacific Paradise during Aloha Week beginning October 30th.
We now return to exotic Tiki Island.
Let’s start our way up to the Virgin Volcano and listen to the natives perform their ritual. It’s a bit of a hike and a bit dangerous, but it’s well worth it. Stay close together and let’s start our hike.
See Hang in there, people, we’re almost there, follow me.
We are now within hearing distance of the local natives that will be performing a musical Exotica ritual in order to appease the Virgin Volcano fire goddess. The last evening of every month, the local natives pay their respect to the fire goddess in hopes that she will not erupt the Virgin Volcano and destroy the village with hot molten lava. Let’s move in closer and listen to this rare, seldom heard ritual.
I don’t know about you, but that was quite impressive. Let’s start heading back to the main beach, and on the way, let’s stop off at the Hurricane Hut Lounge for some local island entertainment.
It’s just a little further. Let’s follow this path, and we’ll be there shortly.
Here we are at the front entrance of the Hurricane Hut Lounge. Let’s stop in for a Mai Tai and listen to some Groovy Island Lounge tunes.
Aloha and welcome to the Hurricane Hut Lounge. Relax and enjoy yourself as you listen to this evening’s entertainment.
Where gentle trade winds and bomb breezes swing you and fro Follow the crowd and soon they will all Enjoying the pleasures of barefoot ball.
Thank you for watching!
That was an awesome Mai Tai and great music. We better head back to the main beach. We don’t wanna miss our plane back to the present day and time.
The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast will be right back after this important message.
Being the weatherman in Hawaii is a very boring job. Diversions are so rare when it comes to weather, predicting is simple. Probably 300 days out of the year, it sounds like this.
Low tomorrow, 72, high of 80, partly cloudy in the higher elevations with some rainfall during the night in the mountain areas. Sunny and clear on the beaches, trade winds 5 to 15 miles per hour. Give or take a few degrees, that is our everyday report.
Welcome back to the Main Beach. Let’s enjoy some great Hawaiian music while we wait for our ride back home.
Our plane has arrived and is waiting to fly us back to the present day and time. Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon with another fantastic trip and more great music from my personal LP collection. Until next time, this is Tiki Brian and the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast.
