Aloha, and welcome to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. I’m your host, Tiki Brian, and this is Show Number 7. Join me once again as we travel back in time to Exotic Tiki Island, and listen to Hawaiian, Exotica, and island-related music from my record collection.
I wanted to mention a couple of things before we travel back to the island. First, I wanted to remind everybody that you can subscribe to the podcast via iTunes, so you can automatically receive the latest shows as soon as they become available. Just search for Exotic Tiki Island in your iTunes, and it will come up.
And while you’re there, I would really appreciate it if you left me positive comments and ratings for the podcast. It means a lot to receive positive comments, and it also helps spread the word about the show and lets me know you want more episodes. You can also listen to the show via my website www.exotictikiisland.com and click on Exotic Tiki Island Podcast in the menu bar to see a full list of all the shows.
Or if you’re feeling adventurous, try clicking on the tab on the left side of the website labeled The Tiki Record Player. It’s a fun way to listen to the show. Also, I wanted to let all of you know that I’ve just opened an online store called Tiki Brian’s Online Tiki Store.
It features vintage Hawaiian and Exotica music along with Tiki and island-related decor. There’s a link to my store on my website. Just go to www.exotictikiisland.com.
I’ll talk more about the store and the products I’m selling later on in this show. Plus, I’ll be offering a discount code just for listening to the podcast, so be sure to check it out. Well, enough chitter chatter.
Let’s start the show. In our last episode, we were visiting the newly discovered place on the island called the Exotic Orchid Cove. Where legend has it, the Tiki gods hit a green jeweled skull with magical powers.
Let’s recap what happened in the last show. This is incredible.
It’s the green jewel skull. It’s rising up out of the ground.
You have unleashed the green jewel skull and the powers it possesses.
And now, we continue with the story of the green jeweled skull on Exotic Tiki Island. Okay, everybody, stay close together. I’m not sure what’s going to happen next.
Tiki Brian. Tiki Brian. Yes?
Was that you who conjured me from the ashes of exotic Tiki Island by playing that beautiful exotic music? Uh, yes. It was me.
Your music is very pleasing to me. I like it very much. Uh, mahalo.
I’m glad you liked it.
I possess the power to time travel. How would you like to travel 200 years into the future on the exotic Tiki Island to the year 2150 and experience the future of exotica music and how it has brought together many people and life forms from all over the universe to one place on exotic Tiki Island? That place is called the Orbit Lounge.
How would you like to visit the Orbit Lounge and hear for yourself the future of exotica music? I would be honored to go, but may I ask a favor? What is it?
May I bring my Tiki friends along for the ride? I’m sure they would enjoy this trip as well. Your request is granted.
Is everybody ready? Here we go!
Thank Welcome to the Orbit Lounge on Exotic Tiki Island. The year is 2150, and you are about to hear the future of Exotica music. Go inside and have a great time.
Inside, you will find many species and life forms from all over the universe that have one thing in common, the love for Exotica music. It may seem very strange to you, but I’m sure you will enjoy yourselves. I’ll take you back to your own time when you’re ready to go.
Would it be Hawaii, or would it be space?
That is the question. Hawaii or space?
Greetings from our shores to your shores. Welcome to the Pacific Island paradise. Have a good day.
One thing you must do here in Hawaii, along with riding a surfboard or paddling an outrigger canoe, or learning the hula, or to play the ukulele, is to eat a boy, T-O-I, as the piece we call the Luana. How many of you here in Waikiki have tried out eating a boy? How many?
Well, did you like it? A lot. Hold on.
Well, this takes a little adjusting, all right. And Tristan eating it with the finger. One finger, two finger, three finger boy.
Ready or not.
Well, some of our mainland friends have reminded us that the steel guitar originated here with the Hawaiians on goal. They suggest the steel guitar music by itself once in a while. And that’s a good idea.
And now you are in Hawaii. This is the beach, white and yee. And all of us here are to the big marana, banged and tree.
Along the golden sand. Have a big welcome for you.
One, two, three, four.
You’re listening to Tiki Brian and the exotic Tiki Island podcast.
Bye-bye!
You How cool was that? The future of Exotica.
I trust you all had a wonderful time experiencing Exotica music of the future. If you ever want to return to the orbit lounge, just ask, and I’ll be happy to send you there again. Everyone gather close together.
Are you ready to return? Here we go.
We are now back on the island in the same time that we left. After that trip, I think we should head back to the main beach and relax while we wait for our boat ride back to the mainland. I’m going to keep the green jeweled skull in a very safe place so that we can visit the Orbit Lounge again soon.
I sure did enjoy visiting the lounge, but I’m glad to be back home. Let’s head for the main beach.
You’re listening to Tiki Brian and the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. I want to invite all of you to visit Tiki Brian’s online Tiki store. The first phase of the store is now open, and it features actual vintage pre-owned Hawaiian decor, Tiki mugs, and Hawaiian exotica and island-related records for sale, many of which are played on this podcast.
Don’t have a record player to play these records on? Don’t worry. All of the LP records sold in this store come with a digital CD copy recorded right from that actual record for you to play on your CD player or import into your computer to copy to your favorite MP3 player.
Plus, as an extra bonus, each LP record when recorded to CD is processed through a special software that virtually takes out all of the pops and clicks from the original record, making the digital copy a higher quality version of the original. Many people frame the actual record cover and hang it on the wall as art while enjoying the digital copy. As an extra bonus for all of you who are listening to the podcast, I’m going to give you a discount code to use during checkout that will take an additional 20% off your total purchase.
Just type in TIKIGOD20, that’s T-I-K-I-G-O-D-2-0 in the discount code section during your checkout to receive your 20% discount. If you want to visit Tiki Brian’s online Tiki store, you can go to my website at www.exotictikiisland.com.
Well, it’s time once again to say goodbye. I hope you’ve enjoyed your trip back to Exotic Tiki Island and traveling to the future. I had a fun time and I hope you did too.
I’ll see you all very soon. Thanks for listening, and spread the word about the podcast.
