Aloha listeners, Welcome to the Exotic Tiki Island podcast. Apparently angry tiki gods have placed a cursed on episode 13 and have drained all of the lush stereo sound out of the episode. Luckily, I was able to appease the tiki gods with a very flavorful Mai Tai and now I’m able to re-post episode 13 in full stereophonic sound. Enjoy episode 13 again, now in stereo! Mahalo.

Aloha, listeners. Welcome to The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. Apparently, angry Tiki gods have placed a curse on episode 13 and have drained all of the lush stereo sound out of the show.
Luckily, I was able to appease the Tiki gods with a very flavorful Mai Tai. And now, I’m able to repost episode 13, but this time in full stereophonic sound. Enjoy episode 13 again, now in stereo.
Exotic Tiki Island Podcast Show 13, that’s a lot of shows.
Thank you.
Aloha, and welcome to The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. I’m Tiki Brian, and I’ll be your host for the next 80 minutes while you listen to vintage Hawaiian, exotica, and island-related music from my personal LP collection. In this show, we’ll be visiting the main beach, the bamboo bar, and we’ll experience the wonderful sounds of a traveling exotic talking tiki bird show.
Before we get started, I wanted to invite all of you to like us on the official Exotic Tiki Island Facebook page, so you can keep up to date with the latest news and fun from Exotic Tiki Island. Plus, when you like us, I’ll send you a personal shout out by placing your name on a vintage Hawaiian record cover and post it on the Facebook page. And speaking of shout outs, I want to send a huge mahalo to some very special listeners, Brian and Shawna Schwartz and Kristen Lee. Well, let’s get on with the show. Are you ready to travel back in time to exotic Tiki Island? Our plane is ready and waiting, so let’s board and prepare for our flight.
Aloha, passengers, this is your captain speaking, Scotty B. Looks like nothing but clear skies all the way to paradise, so enjoy your flight. We’ll be relaxing on the beach of exotic Tiki Island in no time.
I’ve selected some wonderful vintage Hawaiian tunes for you to enjoy during your flight, so lie back in your hammocks, enjoy your ride, and the music.
Passengers, please prepare for your landing and enjoy your stay on Exotic Tiki Island.
Aloha, Coneys and Wahineys. Welcome to the main beach on the exotic Tiki Island. The weather is a perfect 79 degrees, with a cool gentle breeze blowing in from the warm South Pacific Ocean.
Let’s enjoy paradise while we listen to the sounds of the island.
One of the biggest attractions here for visitors and Hawaiians alike is the hula girl. Now hula girls come in assorted sizes, shapes, and costumes. Some are small, some are bigger.
Some are young, some are old. Some in grass skirts, some in hula-coos and boos. Like all artists, the best ones start very young.
Thanks for watching!
The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast will return after these important messages.
Jimmy Walker, the genial host of La Hula Roomba and his lovely wife are fast making this nightclub a very popular spot. Jimmy has a warm greeting for everyone. One of his distinctive innovations is a basket of glorious waxy white gardenias placed at the entrance.
Here, Madame may choose any one of these fragrant flowers for her hair. This is a most delightful gesture. The tempo of this restaurant and nightclub is sharp.
Jimmy has introduced a splendid floor show. Alfred Apaka’s dance band and the widely toasted Lena Guerrero and her dancers put on a scintillating and brilliant performance, as dazzling as the light on the knife in the Samoan sword dance. This club is sophisticated and elegant.
The newly decorated ran room or cocktail lounge is the perfect setting for beautiful women in evening dress. For cocktails, for dinner, for dancing, it’s Jimmie Walker’s La Hula Roomba 744 Luna Lilo, telephone 2788.
At a luau, hukilau, or just a family picnic, the flavor of Hawaii is refreshing in many forms, and Hawaiians really know how to enjoy it. Once so rare, only kings could afford it. Pineapple is now known as the king of fruits.
Today, it is the symbol of hospitality around the world.
The flavor of Hawaii. The beauty of Hawaii. The hospitality of Hawaii.
Can all be summed up in one word, aloha.

Welcome back to The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. The Bamboo Bar is one of my favorite places to visit on the island, and we’re gonna travel up there now. It’s just a short distance through the jungle.
Let’s stay on the path, and we’ll be there soon. Let’s go.
Thank We’ve made it to the front entrance of the Bamboo Bar. This dark jungle-themed exotic watering hole is often frequented by pirates and scallywags. Hey, even pirates need to take a holiday, and when they do, they come to the Bamboo Bar on Exotic Tiki Island.
Let’s go inside and listen to exotic music while enjoying this wonderful atmosphere.
Tiki Brian, I’m glad I caught up to you. I just heard that a Traveling Talking Tiki Bird Show has made it to our island, and they will be performing for one night only up near the Orchid Cove. I also heard the show will start shortly.
I’m sure you and all your Tiki friends would love to see the performance. If you head up there now, by the way of the Ancient Talking Tiki God Path, you should make it on time.
Thanks for the info, Captain. Hey, who wants to see a traveling, talking Tiki Bird show? I thought all of you would.
If we hurry, we should make it in time. Let’s go.
Have fun, Tiki Brian, and don’t be afraid of those talking Tikis along the way.
You’re listening to Tiki Brian and The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast.
I think we are approaching the first Talking Tiki. It’s just up ahead. Let’s keep going.
My name is Maui. Natives call me The Mighty One. I tamed the playful sun and gave my people time.
Now they set their clocks by mine, for I am Tropic Standard Time.
When drums begin to pound, my head full, big sound.
They call me Tungoro Aru, the East Wind.
And I am Hina, Goddess of Rain.
We often travel together, wind and rain, through tropic lands, across the seven seas.
Come closer, so that you may see what magic there is in fantasy.
Legends say I’m balancing the earth, but sad to say, I’m just hanging on.
Uo mau ka ea o ka aina i ka phono Me, Rongo, god of agriculture. My land’s so good to me, I got time for sport. I fly kite.
Me, number one kite flyer.
Too bad, I no have key.
Then me, I find electricity. Electricity.
I can see the entrance to the show just up ahead in the distance. Let’s keep going.
Thanks for watching! Here in this land of enchantment, I appear before you as a mighty tree.
Stand back!
Oh mystic powers, hear my call. From my limbs, let new life fall.
Wow, we’re finally here.
What a cool place. Let’s go inside and get a great seat and enjoy the show.
Vahini Mekyoni Mana, ladies and gentlemen, come with us to a world of joyous songs and wondrous miracles. Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.
Thank My siestas are getting shorter and shorter. Oh, look at all the people. And welcome to Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.
Hey, Michael, me amigo, pay attention, it’s Joe time.
So it is. And what darling people I have sitting under me. Pierre, you rascal, you.
Let’s put on the show.
Mon ami, I am always ready, as you say, to put on the show. Oh, pardon, madame, that whistle is for my good friend, Fritz.
Ach, tu lieber, I almost fell out of my upper perch. Glad to see you all aboard. Sure, or wherever you are.
My goodness, you’re all staring at us.
See? So low we can’t hear you.
My voice may not be so marvelous, but my profile is out of this world.
Jawohl, but the trouble is, it’s not far enough out of this world. Isn’t that right, Herr Schmidt? Oh, I see.
Schmidt has no hair.
Me amigo, stop the clucking. You sound like a bunch of old hymns. There’s a lot of birds waiting to go on.
For instance, these boys in the back are called McCaws.
Because of their claws?
No, because they’re McCaws. And our fine-feathered friend is a jolly toucan.
And toucan sounds better than one toucan can.
The bird from paradise is an elegant bird. It likes to be seen and it loves to be heard. Most little birdies will fly away, but the Tiki-room birds are here every day.
I love this song.
Mes amis, such wonderful singing calls for applause. Si, amigos, applause.
Ya-ya, ya-ya.
Ecoutez, écoutez! Ecoutez, écoutez! Lise, lise!
I think maybe it’s music.
Ya, it is off and back.
You stay off of my back and I’ll stay off of your back.
Applause!
Applause! See that’s crazy.
Mes amines, such wonderful singing goes for applause.
See, amigos, applause.
Applause!
Let’s give our little buddies a big hand.
You down there, with both hands!
And now, signores and signoritas, please place your eyes into the center of the room that is. We present the enchanted fountain.
Ach, ja!
And the wunderbar birdmobile, which has birds on it and it goes round and round. And that’s why we call it the birdmobile.
Look, here come the girls.
Mesdames and messieurs, introducing the lovely ladies of the ensemble. Just like the folly perchere with all the feathers.
There’s Colette.
Hello, Colette. Susette. Hello, Mimi.
Gigi.
Fifi.
Josephine. I wonder what happened to Rosita.
Now we want two people down there to sing along with us birds up here. All together now. Let’s all sing like the birds sing.
Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet.
Let’s all sing like the birds sing.
Tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet.
Let’s all wobble like nightingales.
Give your throat a treat.
Take your time from the birds.
Everybody whistle.
That was so good!
Wunderbar!
Wunderbar!
Give yourselves a hand.
A little applause for the girls too.
Ah, that was wonderful.
See, no one like an egg but me.
And now ladies and gentlemen, we have something really big for you.
Yeah, the bird stand still and the tiki room flies away.
Mon ami, quit talking while I’m interrupting.
Ladies and gentlemen, now we present direct from the islands, a musical…
See Oh, ka-ka-da-da-ku, wo-wo-wo-wo.
Oh, kaka-da-da-ku, wo-wo-wo-wo.
Let’s.
Monsieur, Madame, it’s time to say adieu. But we hope you will always remember the amazing things which happened here in Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.
The Exoticiki 13 andiki.
Olé!
That was fantastic. Talking Birds, singing Tikis, and exotic music all in one show. Did all of you enjoy that as much as I did?
Good. Hey, I just had a wonderful idea. What do you say we grab a treat before heading back home to the present day and time?
There’s a little tiki hut just across the path that sells what else? Dull whips. Let’s get some.
Aloha, welcome to the Aloha Isle. What can I get for you today?
Aloha, I would like to order, let me see, one, two, three, four, oh, I tell you what, give me 200 Dole Whips and put it on my tab.
Sure thing, Tiki Brian, coming right up.
Yum, Dole Whips are my favorite treat. Enjoy, my friends. There’s nothing like Dole Whips on Exotic Tiki Island.
Well, people, sadly, it’s time to head back to the main beach and go home. I wanna thank all of you for visiting the island with me today. I’ll be back soon with more music and adventures.
Be sure to visit the official Exotic Tiki Island website to learn more about the music that’s played on this show. You can also shop for vintage products, including Hawaiian LPs, Tiki clothing, Tiki mugs, and much more. It’s all over on the official website, www.exotictikiisland.com.
