Aloha, and welcome to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. I’m your host, Tiki Brian, and I hope you’re ready to travel back in time to a paradise isle called Exotic Tiki Island, while listening to vintage Hawaiian, Exotica, and island-related music from my record collection. In this show, we’ll be visiting the Main Beach, the Exotic Orchid Cove, and then we’ll travel into the future and visit the Orbit Lounge, using the green jeweled skulls’ time traveling powers.
When we arrive, we’ll experience an Exotica remix show that puts a new twist on some classic Exotica. Before we get started, I would like to send out a special mahalo to some listeners. First, I would like to thank Daniel Firestone for his generous donation to help with the cost associated with the show.
I don’t get paid for doing this podcast, and I rely on listener donations to help out with the expenses of keeping the show going. If you’re enjoying the show as much as Daniel and want more episodes, please consider a small donation to help out. Visit the official Exotic Tiki Island website and click on the donation button.
You can find us at www.exotictikiisland.com. I would also like to send out a huge mahalo to listener Brian from Northern Virginia. Now listen to this.
Brian enjoys listening to the show while making his own tiki drink recipes. So he decided to create a cocktail and name it after a place on Exotic Tiki Island. He named his drink the Exotic Orchid Cove Cocktail.
And Brian was nice enough to share his recipe with all of you so you can enjoy the drink as much as I did. You can get the recipe off my website. Just click on the Tiki FYI in the menu bar.
You won’t be disappointed. And thanks again, Brian. I’m also very pleased to announce that our show has a new sponsor, SpyRate Radio.
They will be broadcasting live at this year’s Tiki Oasis event in San Diego and streaming on the internet all weekend long so you can listen from around the world. For more information on SpyRate Radio, visit their website, www.spyrateradio.com. You’ll hear more about SpyRate Radio later on in the show.
Okay, I think I’ve done enough talking. Let’s get on with the show. Is everybody ready to travel back in time to the island?
Let’s board our plane and have Captain Scotty B and his crew fly us to Exotic Tiki Island.
Aloha, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome aboard Exotic Tiki Island Airlines. The captain has turned on the Fastened Seatbelt sign. Please stow your Tiki shirts, hula skirts, and island accessories underneath the seat in front of you.
We invite you to sit back in your hammock and relax as we fly you to a place called Exotic Tiki Island.
Aloha, passengers. This is your captain speaking, Scotty B. Welcome aboard today’s flight to the Exotic Tiki Island.
The weather on the island is a perfect 79 degrees with a calm, cool trade wind blowing from the west. It’s a perfect day for flying back in time, so sit back in your hammocks and enjoy the flight. Oh, I forgot to mention, everyone’s Tiki drinks are on me today.
Thank Welcome, connies and wahinis. We are now on the main beach of Exotic Tiki Island. I think this is the perfect time to make our favorite cocktail, relax and enjoy the gentle trade winds blowing in off the Pacific Ocean while we listen to some Hawaiian music.
My friends, you have found paradise. Enjoy!
Ka’alele mai yaw’i, onorolo’la’he, Ho’e mai yaw’i ka’ana malihini. Ke kawana’a kawikili yu ka’ala poni’u, Wa pa’a pala’u ma’ila ule’u. Eba hili yu ka’ala koa ko’a ka’ana malihini.
It’s San Francisco by the Golden Gate.
Aloha like a Hawaiian cowboy.
I’m heading for the land.
Oh, hey, of a little hill. For San Francisco by the Golden Gate.
How’s everyone doing? Are you enjoying your drinks and the music as much as I am? What do you say we head up to the Exotic Orchid Cove to listen to some enchanting Exotica music?
For those of you who don’t know the story behind the Exotic Orchid Cove, I invite you to listen to Show 6 and hear for yourself how this hidden paradise was discovered and how we traveled 150 years into the future to visit the Orbit Lounge for the very first time with the help of the powers of the green jeweled skull. For now, let’s head up to the Exotic Orchid Cove by hiking through the dark mysterious jungle. Let’s go.
Let’s go.
See I hear something up ahead. I hope it’s not those angry headhunters looking for more trophies to take back to their village. Oh, wait, it’s not the headhunters, it’s my friend Shrunken Head Ned, the all-knowing, self-proclaimed Jungle Witch Doctor that has a cure for anything and everything.
Go ahead and walk up the Shrunken Head Ned, he won’t bite. Let’s see what Ned has to say about you.
Hello, and welcome.
First, stick out your tongue and say, ah.
Now, put your thumbs in your ears, and go booga, booga, booga.
Now, hop on one foot, and repeat after me, buwana, pirana, banana.
One more time, buwana.
Yes, I believe I know your problem. You’re too suggestible.
You do what any buffool tells you to.
Even some half-baked witch doctor in the middle of the jungle. Get a crew, man.
Fuck up. Be yourself.
And if that doesn’t work, of course, be someone else.
No, so take the advice I’ve tended below for you.
Just take that suggestion. And thank you so much, you little patronizers, shrunken dead.
Mahalo, Shrunken Head Ned. That was very enlightening. We’ll see you soon.
The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast will be right back after this important message.

Welcome back to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. We have arrived at the Exotic Orchid Cove. Many of you have requested that we call upon the Green Jeweled Skull to take us into the future for another visit to the Orbit Lounge.
Well, it just so happens that I brought along the Green Jeweled Skull, and I’ll ask him to honor your request. All I need to do is play some beautiful Exotica music and he’ll come to life. Let’s give it a try.
Aloha, Tiki Brian. Thank you for playing that wonderful music. What can I do for you today?
Well, my Tiki friends and I were wondering if you could take us to the future and visit the Orbit Lounge.
It would be my pleasure, Tiki Brian. This is the perfect time to visit the Orbit Lounge because tonight the Lounge is presenting the mix show called Exotica Remixed. I’m sure you and your Tiki friends will enjoy it.
Exotica music remixed? That sounds very cool.
Everyone gather close together. Let’s travel to the Orbit Lounge.
Welcome to the Orbit Lounge on Exotic Tiki Island. The year is 2150, and the Exotica Remixed Music Show is about to begin. Have a great time, and I’ll be here to take you back when you’re ready.
Mahalo, Mr. Green Skull, or maybe I should call you Mr. Green Jeweled Skull, or maybe Mr. Jewel-
Just call me JS, that stands for Jeweled Skull.
JS it is. Okay everyone, let’s head inside the Orbit Lounge and enjoy the show.
The sun and moon, the white clouds that drift across the blue sky.
And even of the rain that falls in the uppers to make the rain fall.
Hawaii is the gateway to many islands.
The clusters of islands to the south and west. So the customs, the culture and the songs of all the Pacific are centered here. For the young people who come to learn more of the western lore, partings bring overtones of sadness.
Mahalo! Thank you.
Great night goes back to the old songs, the old melees, the old chants of old Hawaii.
So from the Hawaiian Islands land of summertime eternal, the trade winds send out a party invitation clear across the blue Pacific to you.
Bye You’re listening to Tiki Brian and the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast.
We have a change of pace on our Hawaii Closed Show, and we hope to think you’ll like it. It features the tropical settings of a man who is both modern and native in his approach to music. His name is Martin Denny, and his sounds are unique and exceptional.
The most synonymous are the names of Barth and Ginny and the haunting and captivating melody of Wyatt Billy.
Aloha.
Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It’s now twilight time here at Tiki Gardens, and again it’s time for torch lighting. So, all of you folks in the various shops, if you’d care to join with us in our ceremony, you can kindly step out into the little garden.
We’re about to begin. Now, the peacocks have come over. They’re perched atop the various buildings.
You can hear them in the background. So, to get you in the mood for your trip to the South Sea Islands, here’s Ernie playing for you a medley of beautiful Hawaiian tunes on the wortless.
Here’s Ernie.
That was pretty cool. They remixed many of my favorite songs. I hope you enjoy the show too.
Well, we should head back to the current time on Exotic Tiki Island and prepare for our trip back home. JS, we’re ready to go.
Hang on, everyone, we’re heading back now.
We are now back on the Main Beach, and Captain SkyVB and his crew are preparing our plane for the ride home. Let’s enjoy some music while we wait.
Sadly, it’s time to say goodbye. I hope all of you enjoyed this episode of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. If you’re enjoying the show, please consider a small donation to help out with the expenses of keeping the show going.
You can make a donation over on my website, exotictikiisland.com. And I also wanna say mahalo once more to SpyRate Radio for being our newest sponsor of the show.
