Aloha, and welcome to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. My name is Tiki Brian, and I’ll be your host as we travel back in time to a paradise from yesteryear called Exotic Tiki Island, while I play vintage Hawaiian, exotica, and island-related music from my personal LP collection. In this episode, we’ll be visiting the Main Beach, and then we’ll follow the Jungle Trail all the way up to the north end of the island and visit the Enchanted Falls.

And if we’re lucky, we may even see mermaids that frequent this paradise hideaway. So get ready to transcend back to an island tropical world with swaying palm trees, cool gentle ocean breezes, and golden sandy beaches. Lay back in your hammock, take a sip of your favorite cocktail, relax, and enjoy some wonderful vintage musical treasures right here on Exotic Tiki Island.

Before we start our adventure, I would like to send out a huge mahalo to listener Amanda Hoyt. Alright, let’s start our adventure. You know, we usually travel to the island using many different modes of transportation. Captain Scotty B always surprises us with a fun way to get to the island.

And in this episode, he has decided to take us to the island by hopping on board his time machine. Hey, what better way to travel back in time than using a time machine? Captain Scotty B is now giving us the OK to board and travel back in time to Exotic Tiki Island.

Watch your step as you board, please. Watch your step. Please secure all your personal belongings including your Fez hats, Tiki cocktails, grass skirts, sun tan lotion, beach towels, coconut wireless phones, surfboards, Tiki mugs, rum barrels, glass fish floats, volcano bowls, ukuleles, laze, lemons, limes, pineapples, and of course, your exotic Tiki Island listening devices.

I am the wind, the sea, the evening star. I am everyone, anyone, no one.

Thank Okay, Tiki Brian, we have arrived on the Main Beach of Exotic Tiki Island. Oh, the shore! Watch your step.

Watch your step. Watch your step.

Welcome, wahinis and connies. We are now on the Main Beach of Exotic Tiki Island. Let’s relax here and take a seat in these long, low bamboo chairs and watch the waves come crashing in on the beach while watching our Hawaiian beauties dance the hula for you.

You can now let your troubles slide away and start living Hawaiian style. It’s the music, as well as the comfortable people, and the romance that make this island a unique place in all the world. So here’s what I have for you.

Some bright, lively Hawaiian songs, some that will make you see the moonlight on the ocean and hear the rustle of the fronds in the tall palm trees. Enjoy the music as we start our adventure with the lighting of the Tiki torches.

Aloha, good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It’s now twilight time here in Tiki Gardens, and again it’s time for torch lighting. This is an age-old ceremony passed on down from the days of the kings.

It was a method the monarch used to call the subjects to the evening’s festivities, or the luau, as we know it today. First, the trumpeter goes forth and blows three mighty blasts to the ocean and three to the mountains. Then the natives gather in the courtyard, all the wahinis and khatis.

First, the area has to be lighted. Now tonight, lighting the torches, Leilani, Tarita, and Malia.

The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast will return after these important messages.

Halo, everybody, halo.

Halo Shampoo presents the inside story of the Lonesome Mermaid.

What can I do about my hair? It’s so dull and stringy looking, the centers never whistle at me anymore. And for a mermaid, that’s serious.

Look, Toots, here’s the answer to your problem.

Use Halo Shampoo, soaping dolls’ hair.

Halo glorifies it.

Remember, halo leaves hair fragrant, dandruff-free, and wonderfully easy to manage because halo is not a soap or an oily cream.

You’re listening to Tiki Brian and the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast.

Welcome back to the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. What do you say we start our journey up to the Enchanted Falls on the north side of the island? It’s quite a long walk through the jungle, but I’ll play some Exotica music to help pass the time.

I hear something up ahead. I hope it’s not those angry headhunters looking for more trophies to take back to their village. Oh, wait, it’s not the headhunters, it’s my friend Shrunken Head Ned, the all-knowing, self-proclaimed jungle witch doctor that has a cure for anything and everything.

Go ahead and walk up the Shrunken Head Ned, he won’t bite. Let’s see what Ned has to say about you.

Hello and welcome, please follow my instructions. Now, while rubbing your stomach and patting your head, say whoopee doodle doo. Ah, oh dear, this is the first case I’ve ever seen.

You’ve got skitzo ditzo, split personality. Isn’t that right, V?

It certainly is, I couldn’t agree more.

You’re brilliant.

I’m brilliant, you’re the brilliant one.

So what’s our diagnosis?

There is none, but two personalities we make twice the money on return visits.

Thank you, no, no, thank you.

Thanks again for that valuable advice, shrunken head Ned. We’ll see you soon.

That walk wasn’t too bad. Up ahead is the entrance to the Enchanted Falls. This exotic paradise is home of lush exotic plants, tropical flowers, and a cascading waterfall that pours into a pool of crystal blue waters.

This is the perfect atmosphere to attract mermaids. In fact, I see several mermaids sunbathing on the rocks located in the center of the pond. Let’s relax here and listen to the mermaids while being entertained with enchanting music.

In the spring at the traveling fair, me with my spectacles, her with her hair.

Did she miss the tides? Did her tail crave the sea? Yes, she’s a mermaid, but her true love is me.

Me.

So, we moved to the coast in the hearth of this old girl. Whenever she swam, pulled back a new pearl, she’d balance it there on her cute mermaid nose, while town walking backwards to anything goes. Her love’s now a legend, but the gossip is wrong.

Her bed is fresh kelp, and I never stay long. But I do kiss her daily on her perfect lips, as she shows me her love with flashy backflips.

Wow, mermaids on Exotic Tiki Island. It certainly doesn’t get much better than that. I hope all of you enjoy the mermaids as much as I did.

The Enchanted Falls is one of the most magical places on the island, and we will definitely return here for another visit soon. For now, we better head back to the Main Beach and prepare for our journey home. Follow me, friends.

The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast will be right back after these important messages.

We have arrived at the Main Beach and Captain Scotty B is preparing his time machine to return us to the present day. Let’s listen to some wonderful Hawaiian treasures while we wait to go home.

Well, friends, our adventure on Exotic Tiki Island is coming to an end. The time machine is ready to go back home, and it’s time for me to say goodbye. I hope all of you enjoyed this adventure, and I hope you come back for another visit soon.
