Aloha and welcome to this special episode of the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. I’m your host, Tiki Brian, and this is Show number 43, our 2015 Christmas special. I’d like to say mahalo for downloading and listening to the podcast, and I hope all of you are ready for some holiday music from Exotic Tiki Island.

You know, at first, I wasn’t even planning on doing a holiday podcast episode, because I’m going to be doing a special Christmas-themed Exotica Hawaiian and Tiki music ETI radio broadcast beginning on Christmas Eve and lasting through Christmas night. But since I’ve received so many emails requesting a Christmas podcast show, I’ve decided to put one out for the listeners to enjoy. Now, usually on the podcast show, Captain Scotty B takes us to the island, but he’s on vacation until early next year.

So for this special Christmas episode, I’m going to give you a little taste of this year’s 2015 ETI Radio Christmas Broadcast from Exotic Tiki Island. If you enjoy this episode, be sure to tune in to the ETI Radio Christmas Broadcast beginning on Christmas Eve and lasting through Christmas night. For more info on how you can tune in online, be sure to visit the official exotictikiisland.com website and you’ll see the 2015 Christmas Broadcast listed on the events calendar.

So with that being said, let’s begin the show and celebrate Christmas at the Bamboo Bar located on Exotic Tiki Island.

Boy, how about that? How beautiful. Nina, LaHelalani, you guys are the world’s living in.

And they’re singing about Christmas on the mainland. But hey, where’s all those Kamehameha alumni glee club boys? Get over there and let’s tell them about Christmas in Hawaii.

Hawaiian style.

Give back my credit card.

Hey, Michael, how are you? Oh, same to you.

But as long as you bring a present, we drink them anyway. Listen, you know, we’re lucky, but you guys got here just in time because we’re all going to sing. We’ll sing Mele Kalikimaka just to start out with.

But you know, these guys sneaky in the Kamblee club. Yeah, they sing parts, so whatever. So what you do, you grab a part that’s not open and sing, all right?

Okay, let’s go. Mele Kalikimaka, everybody.

Merry Christmas everybody!

Hey, come on in. Have a drink. As a matter of fact, we need a tenner.

Hey, come in you guys. Annie Anderson wrote a brand new song. I want you guys to give Annie some practice for about at least 20 minutes.

So, go ahead Benny, give it a go.

Wonderful! Hey, how about that? Hey, Boise has been shirking his duty.

Boise! Come on, Boise. Let her go that glassy.

Nina, Boise, how about it, right? Okay, here we go.

Dear Santa, I’ve been a good little boy.

Dear Santa, I’ve been a little old boy.

We’re not ready to say good night. Mahalo, Mahalo. Let’s call on Anthony.

A serious time.

You always terrific, you girls. Hey, Uncle Ken. Oh, what was that?

How about, come on. I thought you’d never ask.

Let her go, that punchbowl, you know what I mean? I saw one of them inside the turkey.

Hello, you good little children, and a Merry Christmas. You sit down now, and your Uncle Lucky will tell you a story. Christmas time kind.

Ready? Get snug and comfortable now. It was just before Christmas, and all to the holly, nobody was moving, not even one yoli.

And the mallow was hung upside down just like pheasant, so the menahuni can fill them with nice, lovely present. And the children was curled on top one sleeping mat, and they dream of haupia and all things like that. And while the mother and me was all set for enjoy, one nice rest we planned get ten hours more and more.

And when out on the grasses there’d be one big clatter, I look up and look for what is the matter. And out by the door I peeked through the lau hala. The moon was all shiny like one big silver dollar.

Then all of a sudden, this is what I see, the menahuni with his eight little kia are we. More quick than the ukus, the bunch of them came, and he make the kind oi oi, and he call them by name. Hey Poki, hey Hula, hey Lele, Ileo, Hoki, Kupi, Ekele, Willa, and Abdalanai on top the paia.

Now come on you first, or you gonna get pilekia. And like the dry leaves were being blown all around, these guys make one big run and take off the ground. And then quick like one wink way up on the roof, you can hear the kind noises been made by the hoof.

And just when I still go back inside the room, the menahuni he come down with one big boom. He move even more faster than one mahi mahi. And his clothes was all lepu because he land in the aji.

And on top his back, he give one big eki, all load up with toys for each little keki. And his eyes was all shiny and he get big white whiskers. And his cheeks and his ehu been red like hibiscus.

And his face was haole, all fill up with joy. And when he laugh, his opu shake like one finger poi. He so funny, I start for laugh at him.

And yet, he make one wink for show me, no need to be upset. He never say nothing, but he make hana hana and he fill up those malos with plenty makana. That’s a kind gift, you know.

And when he all bow, he turn and he smile and he make one bow. And then he put up his finger alongside his ehu and more wicked than you can say, Joanaku Hio. He jump on the roof and those guys all together went fly up in the airs, just like one feather.

Aloha he say. I like every kanaka. Give himself melee.

Kalikimaka.

It’s getting kind of late on. Daddy, get those Kambami alumni guys right over here. And we’re gonna sing Jingle Bells.

Ho, ho, ho! Merry Christmas everybody! Merry Christmas!

Aloha, friends! I hope you’ve enjoyed this one-hour preview of my ETI Radio Christmas Broadcast. Now, don’t forget, you can tune in beginning at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time on Christmas Eve and listen to a lot more Christmas-themed Hawaiian, Exotica, and Tiki music.

Be sure to visit the official exotictikiisland.com website and view the calendar of events for all of the details on how you can tune in online for this special show. But before I go, I just want to take a moment and say mahalo to all of you who have supported this podcast and ETI Radio over the past year. It’s hard to believe that the podcast is coming up on five years of traveling to Exotic Tiki Island and it’s gaining new listeners with each new episode.

I really do appreciate all of you who have sent in donations and sponsored the show. Without your support, I wouldn’t be able to afford the cost of producing each podcast show and ETI Radio broadcast. So I want to say mahalo for your support and I hope all of you and your families have a very Merry Christmas and fantastic New Year.

Captain SkyDB and the rest of the ETI crew, along with myself, will be back with more music, fun and adventures from Exotic Tiki Island in 2016. Until then, friends, Mele Kalikimaka and Happy New Year.

Aloha! Ho ho ho! Merry Christmas everybody!

Merry Christmas!
