And now friends, let’s forget about the stress of today’s hectic life and travel back in time to an island in the South Pacific, a tropical paradise that has swaying palm trees, cool, gentle ocean breezes, and golden sandy beaches. That wonderful place is none other than Exotic Tiki Island. And we’re going to travel there now as I play vintage Hawaiian, Exotica and Tiki music from my personal collection.

Are you ready? Captain Scotty B is approaching the dock in a sailboat and he’s going to be escorting all of us to Exotic Tiki Island. Captain, permission to board?

Permission granted, Tiki Brian. Okay, friends, let’s board the boat and prepare for our adventure to Exotic Tiki Island. Welcome aboard, Wahinis and Connies.

Watch your step. Please watch your step. Take your time.

There’s plenty of room for everyone. Captain, it looks like the seas are calm and the weather is perfect. I am so ready for a relaxing ride to the island.

If relaxation is what you’re after, then you’re on the right boat. Okay, everyone, let’s head off to Exotic Tiki Island. Here we go.

Thank you.

Thank you.

Tiki Brian, we are approaching Exotic Tiki Island. I see it, Captain. Let’s dock the boat and prepare to disembark.

Welcome, Wahinis and Connie’s, to the main beach here on Exotic Tiki Island. This picture-perfect paradise is what you’ve been waiting for. All we need now is a Tiki drink in hand, and our adventure can begin.

I could help you out with that, Tiki Brian. Friends, gather around my Tiki bar and let me prepare for you the Dirt Bakery’s Private Eye Delight. That’s a very interesting name for a Tiki drink.

Where did you come up with that one, Captain? Well, Tiki Brian, I just happened to know that a certain Private Eye Investigator named Dirt Bakery is visiting our island and he is hanging out at the bamboo bar enjoying his lovely liquid libation that was crafted just for him. He shared the recipe with me and it is very tasty.

So, I thought all our Tiki friends would like to make it at their Tiki bar. Dirt Bakery? He sounds like a very interesting man.

He’s a famous Private Investigator from San Francisco and he’s relaxing at the bamboo bar. That’s very cool. We’ll stop and meet him during our adventure today.

I’m sure he would love to meet you and all your Tiki friends. You’ll have to stop by the bamboo bar and see if he’s still there. Great idea, Captain.

Now, back to making today’s cocktail. This is what you’re going to need to make Dirt Daiquiri’s Private Eye Delight. We need a half ounce of lime juice, half ounce of pineapple juice, half ounce of honey mix.

To make the honey mix, add one part high quality honey and one part water. Bring to a boil until the honey dissolves. It’s just like making simple syrup, but instead of sugar, you use honey.

And you’re also going to need a half ounce of passion fruit syrup, half ounce of white rum or silver rum, one and a half ounces of gold Jamaican rum. Shake with ice and strain into a cocktail glass and enjoy. Another fantastic drink, Captain.

And listeners, if you want this recipe so you can make the Dirt Daiquiri Private Eye Delight at your tiki bar, you can head over to the official exotictikiisland.com website and click on the Tiki Drinks and Cocktails in the top nav bar. Mahalo, Captain. Friends, now that we have our tiki cocktail and the perfect paradise surroundings, let’s enjoy some music right here on the main beach.

Aloha. Here in the islands, aloha is our five-metre magic word.

And here’s a song that tells about our very happy time here in the islands.

The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast will return after these important messages. Ladies and gentlemen, I’m very excited to tell you that our sponsor, the 1940s World War II era ball is back again this year celebrating their eighth annual 1940s World War II era ball event. You’re invited to take a trip back in time at the Boulder Airport in Colorado on Saturday, June 18th.

Headlining this wonderful event is Frank Sinatra, Bob Hope, the Andrew Sisters and more talented impersonators. Step into Hollywood’s World War II planes, experience World War II plane flybys, vehicles, and reenactors, enjoy a night of dancing with your sweetheart, or maybe even meet one as you listen to the most sought after big bands around. Enter our hanger made into Casablanca’s Rick’s Cafe American with belly dancers and even a roulette table that attendees can play on.

See 1940s cars, a sexy pinup contest, swing dance lessons, and a dance contest. This year’s 1940s World War II era ball theme is The Tiki Explosion After World War II, Our Troops Bring Home Paradise. Listen to Bob Hope sing Hawaiian songs from the South Pacific while beautiful hula dancers dance the hula on stage.

Plus, we’ll be serving up some beautiful tropical drinks along with a hot limbo contest. It’s all happening at this year’s 8th annual 1940s World War II era ball event. For more details and tickets, visit www.1940sball.org.

Welcome back friends to the podcast. Let’s continue our adventure and head up to the Enchanted Falls. And if we’re lucky, we may even see some mermaids sunbathing on the rocks in the middle of the lagoon.

Let’s head that way now by traveling up this jungle trail.

Hold up, friends, I hear something over to our left. I’m not sure what it is. I hope it’s not headhunters planning their attack on us.

Shh, stay still and be very quiet. Oh, it’s not headhunters. It’s a group of friendly natives performing the Samoan Fire Night Dance.

Let’s take a short break and listen to the ceremony.

That was pretty impressive. Indeed it was, Captain. Well, let’s continue on.

Let’s go, friends.

We are now at the entrance of the Enchanted Falls. And look, friends, I see mermaids sunbathing in the middle of the lagoon. Let’s relax here for a bit and enjoy some enchanting music while enjoying these beautiful creatures deep within the South Pacific.

Tiki Brian, I think one of those mermaids just winked at me. You’re a lucky man, Captain. Hey, maybe you can ask her for her number and call her on her shell phone.

Very funny, Tiki Brian. Just kidding, Captain. Well, friends, what do you say we head back to the main beach, and along the way, we can stop off at the bamboo bar for another tiki drink.

Let’s go. The Exotic Tiki Island Podcast will be right back after this important message. Imagine yourself by the pool, drinking hand, at a mid-century resort on an island far away.

You’re listening to Tiki Brian and the Exotic Tiki Island Podcast. Well, friends, what do you say we head back to the main beach and along the way, we can stop off at the Bamboo Bar for another tiki drink.

Welcome to the Bamboo Bar. This dimly lit watering hole is decorated like a lush tropical jungle with lit tiki torches and waterfalls that further help simulate an exotic paradise. Let’s go inside and head up to the bar for another tiki drink.

There’s someone sitting at the bar that I’ve never seen. I think I’ll go up to him. Aloha, stranger.

My name is Tiki Brian. What’s yours?

A pleasure to meet you, Tiki Brian. My name is Dirk Dacry. I’m a private investigator from San Francisco.

San Francisco? That’s a long way from Exotic Tiki Island. What brings you to the bamboo bar?

Well, I just wrapped up a case and decided it was time to grab some more in order. Good food, good company, great Mai Tais, and this cool band, the Tiki Delights. What more do you need?

I have to agree, Dirk. Hey, can you tell me more about the case?

Sure, let me sum it up for you pronto. See, there was a missing young lady and I searched all over San Francisco and Sausalito before I found her. I suspected a wealthy San Francisco real estate tycoon, but boy was I wrong.

I also went undercover, riding all over San Francisco in a big black Cadillac, outnumbered by three crooks. That’s about all I can tell you, Tiki Brian. Except that everything worked out in the end.

Wow, that’s exciting. No wonder you needed some relaxation here on exotic Tiki Island. I’m glad you’re enjoying your stay here, Dirk.

Is there any way that I can read about your story and all the details of Dirk Dackery?

Well, funny you mention that, Tiki Brian. I just released my first book that tells the whole story. The Kindle Edition is now available on amazon.com for only $2.99.

I’m going to pick up a copy and check it out. And listeners, you can purchase your own copy by going to amazon.com and searching for Dirk Dackery under the eBook section of Amazon. The title of the book is called Dirk Dackery in the Dancing Mai Tai.

Mahalo, Tiki Brian. I appreciate you spreading the word about my new book.

It’s my pleasure, Dirk.

It’s sure a lovely spot. You can bet I’ll be back soon. And if you ever get to San Francisco, Tiki Brian, look me up.

I’m in the phone book. Dirk Dackery, Private Investigations. See you later, pal.

See you around, Dirk. Aloha. And now, let’s order a round of Dirk Dackery’s Private Eye Delight Tiki drink for everyone.

And let’s enjoy some wonderful tunes from the Bamboo Bar. Up next is Twist of Limon by the Tiki Delights.

Friends, let me tell you about our sponsor, Darren Long, author of the new Tiki Nora short story, Dirk Dackery and the Dancing Mai Tai. Private investigator Dirk Dackery is a cool, wise-cracking former detective fighting crime in the streets of 1957 San Francisco. Dirk prefers aloha shirts to suits, enjoys Mai Tais and martinis with a heavy dose of Martin Denny, Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

With his best friend, Detective Steve Hardemon, Dirk solves the missing person’s case while stumbling onto a drugs and prostitution ring. The Kindle Edition is now available at amazon.com underneath the ebook section. Be sure to pick up a copy today along with Darren’s newest Dirk story and enjoy the ongoing adventures of Dirk Dackery.

Mahalo. Friends, it’s getting late and we should head back to the main beach and prepare for our trip home to the present day and time. Off we go to the main beach.
